Disiniblud (Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith)

The new project from Rachika Nayar and Nina Keith, Disiniblud (pronounced “disney-blood”) is somehow both incredibly focused and expansive, and a stunning ode to transformation, growth, and healing. The songs here, which represent a seamless merging of Nayar’s and Keith’s distinctive styles, tend to start small and get big, with a beguiling combination of guitar sounds and washed-out electronica.

Along with a number of eye-catching guests - Julianna Barwick, Katie Dey, and Tujiko Noriko, to name a few - Nayar and Keith are out to heal and strengthen their child selves. Disiniblud is an album that seeks to hold a special place for those in need of support while promising that the act of transformation is just as thrilling as the destination. — Eduardo
